Structure of the 2nd Czechoslovak paradesant brigade
subaltern units
[1] - after defeat of Slovak national uprising the rest of the 2nd paradesant brigade moved into guerrilla war. From 23.01.1945 started organization of the 2th independent brigade, where supposed that main core will be build up from the rest of the 2nd paradesant brigade, which from October 1944 fought in mountains. But that time was organized as infantry unit. 2th independent brigade did not come into fight, the end of war (08.05.1945) overtook unit in city Žilina, from where was sent to protect Slovak-Hungarian borders.
[2] - 2144 persons on 22.09.1944
[3] - was disciplinary subordinated to command of the 1st Czechoslovak army corps, but in combat actions subordinated to Czechoslovak command in Slovakia.
[4] - under command general Shmygo.
[5] - till 06.10. under command brigade general Golian Ján, after it under command division general Viest Rudolf.
[6] - during combats in Carpathian mountains were 143 persons killed, 438 injured, 20 missed.
